About the ATV Unit . . .
One of the newest groups patrolling Caddo Parish is the ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) Unit. Full-time, reserve and auxiliary deputies have turned this favorite past-time into a public service.

The unit works in conjunction with the Mounted Patrol and other patrol services to immediately respond to critical and often life-threatening situations. Deputies on four-wheelers can respond quickly to search for missing persons, recover property, and assist during disasters.

Each member volunteers their time and provides their own ATV, fuel, trailer and equipment. All members must complete a required ATV safety awareness training program.
