A Georgia, man was arrested by Caddo Sheriff’s detectives for participating in a counterfeit check scheme that netted over $7,000, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Quentin Adams, 29, was arrested in Douglasville, Georgia, on June 26 on a warrant obtained by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Jeremy Edward. On Sunday, Adams was extradited to Caddo Parish and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for Monetary Instrument Abuse.
Adams is accused of providing counterfeit checks to other suspects who cashed them at local banks. In all, four fake checks were cashed using the banking information of two businesses whose accounts were compromised. The total amount stolen was $7,692.
